Lending to clients in rural and semi-urban areas is ESAF Bank’s primary focus. As of March 31, 2023, 62.84% of the bank’s gross advances went to customers in rural and semi-urban areas (combined), and 71.71% of its banking locations were situated in these areas.

The asset products offered by ESAF Small Finance Bank include: (a) Micro Loans, which include Microfinance Loans and Other Micro Loans; (b) Retail Loans, which include home loans, auto loans, gold loans, and MSME loans; (c) Loans to Financial Institutions; and (e) Loans to Agricultural Companies.
The liability products offered by ESAF Bank include term deposits, recurring deposits, savings accounts, and current accounts. It had 6.48 million deposit accounts as of March 31, 2023. As of March 31, 2023, ESAF Bank served 6.83 million customers through its vast network of 700 banking locations—including 59 business correspondent-operated locations—743 customer service representatives, 20 business correspondents, 2,023 banking agents, 481 business facilitators, and 528 ATMs dispersed throughout 21 states and two union territories.

As of March 31, 2021, and March 31, 2023, respectively, the AUM increased from INR 8,425.93 crore to INR 16,331.27 crore, exhibiting a CAGR of 39.22%, the highest among its peers.
